The Clemson Tigers are starting to see the injuries add up this spring. In particular, offensive lineman Tristan Leigh and running back Jarvis Green both appear to be dealing with lower body injuries.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney recently addressed both of these injuries. He began with Leigh, who was recently seen using a scooter and needed a procedure to help deal with an ankle injury. While Swinney was confident this would help him, he did not share a timetable for his return to action.

“He had a little procedure,” Dabo Swinney said. “Just to kind of help him get over that ankle a little bit. He’ll be fine.”

Tristan Leigh is an experienced graduate senior along the Clemson offensive line. After taking over a starting job along the offensive line in 2023, he’s accumulated 23 starts in 32 career appearances. Along the way, he’s also played 1,587 snaps along the Clemson offensive line. He was a five-star recruit in the Class of 2021, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. In that cycle, he was the 24th-ranked player nationally and the sixth-ranked offensive tackle. He has spent his entire career with the Tigers.

The other injury Dabo Swinney shared some insight into was that of Jarvis Green. He went down with a midfoot sprain recently in practice. It’s bad enough that he will likely miss the remainder of spring practice for Clemson.

“In practice,” Swinney said. “Last, whatever. I guess it was Monday. Midfoot sprain. Those are painful and sore, and it’s probably going to put him out for about four or five weeks or so.”

Jarvis Green is going into his third season with Clemson. He originally came to Clemson as a three-star recruit in the Class of 2023, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He was the 948th-ranked player overall and the 65th-ranked running back in that recruiting cycle. Having only appeared in two games as a freshman, he’s a redshirt sophomore.

He has seen a relatively small amount of playing time in games to this point, playing in 37 snaps over 11 career games. For that brief playing time, he has 57 rushing yards on 5.2 yards per carry. He also has two receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown.

From here, Dabo Swinney and Clemson will look to get through the rest of spring without any further injuries. In the meantime, the focus is going to be getting those currently injured back as quickly as possible.
