2024 4-star DL Hevin Brown-Shuler

Atlanta Pace Academy four-star defensive lineman Hevin Brown-Shuler is one of the top recruits in the 2024 class. Before his game Friday night, the 6-foot-2.5, 300 pound prospect showcased his interest in Clemson.

While warming up, Brown-Shuler attached Tigers gloves to his belt. He has made four trips to Death Valley, most recently last weekend for Clemson’s win over NC State.

Brown-Shuler is the No. 40 overall prospect and No. 6 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in Georgia.

“It shows me that they love me a lot and they really want me to be a part of their program,” Brown-Shuler told On3’s Jeremy Johnson about Clemson in April. “I was really excited to get it. I’m just happy to get the offer…They said that they think I’m a Clemson-type guy and I could fit well in their program.”

More on Brown-Shuler’s recruitment

Brown-Shuler currently holds 27 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, South Carolina has a close lead for his commitment at 30.4%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Tigers do not have any commitments in their 2024 recruiting class. Meanwhile, Clemson’s 2023 recruiting class is No. 8 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the ACC.

Brown-Shuler has an On3 NIL Valuation of $85K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
