WATCH: Tee Higgins makes incredible catch for touchdown versus Steelers
The Cincinnati Bengals took a 14-point lead on Sunday versus the Pittsburgh Steelers on a 32-yard touchdown pass from Joe Burrow to Tee Higgins.
Burrow found the former Clemson Tiger in one-on-one coverage and hit him for the score. Higgins now has three receiving touchdowns on the season. He hasn’t scored since the Sept. 19 game versus the Chicago Bears.
Higgins, drafted in the second round in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Clemson, has 37 catches on 60 targets through eight games played. With 446 receiving yards, Higgins averages 12.1 yards per catch. Despite missing two games, he’s third on the team in receiving yards behind Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd.
Higgins had a breakout debut NFL season with just under 1,000 yards and six touchdowns.
The 6-4 Bengals are one win over the Steelers so far this season and could gain a cushion behind the Packers with a win on Sunday.

Higgins back to his roots
Clemson die-hard fans will always envision Higgins in his signature No. 5 jersey. In three years at Clemson, the 6-foot-4 pass-catcher hauled in 135 receptions for 2,448 yards and 27 touchdowns. He averaged an impressive 18.1 yards per catch.
Higgins made the switch back to the No. 5 that is synonymous with his Clemson days ahead of the 2021 season.
“I don’t want to be a 2.0,” Higgins added. “No disrespect to Chad. He’s a great receiver, this and that. I just don’t want to be a 2.0 for myself, man. I want to be Tee Higgins, 1.0, number five.”
