3-star offensive lineman Van Wells commits to Colorado
Houston C.E. King three-star offensive lineman Van Wells has committed to Colorado, he announced Sunday on social media.
The commitment comes after Wells — who plays as a center in high school — visited Boulder, Colo., this weekend. Wells told 247 Sports that he was excited to visit Boulder.
“I want to see what the college is about, how they prepare and how they develop their players,” Wells told 247 Sports. “I also know it gets cold up there and it is high elevation, so I want to be able to see if I can breathe up there. I just want to make sure if I do decide to go there, it would be a good fit for me. I also want to talk to the new offensive line coach.”
He was previously committed to Louisiana but decommitted in November.
The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Wells as the No. 1149 overall recruit in the country.
