Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove offensive tackle McKale Boley has decommitted from Colorado, he announced Tuesday afternoon.

Boley is the No. 1231 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is ranked the country’s No. 105 offensive tackle and the No. 31 prospect in the state of Mississippi.

Boley wrote: “I want to start by thanking all of the coaches at the University of Colorado for believing in me and giving me the chance to play football at the next level. Now after rethinking and having a conversation with my family, I have decided it is best for me to decommit from the University of Colorado and reopen my recruitment 100%.”

The 6-foot-4, 285-pounder committed to the Buffaloes at the end of July after receiving an offer three days earlier.

McKale Boley is the son of former Southern Miss star Michael Boley. The elder Boley was selected in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He played nine seasons in the NFL and won Super Bowl XLVI with the New York Giants.

With McKale Boley’s decommitment, Colorado now has 16 players committed for the 2022 class. But none rank among the top 500 nationally.
