4-star WR Johntay Cook II earns 40th scholarship offer
Colorado has offered DeSoto (Texas) four-star wide receiver Johntay Cook II, becoming the 40th team to do so.
Cook is the No. 54 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Cook has an On3 NIL Valuation of $59,000, which currently ranks 36th among high school football players. It is the sixth-highest On3 NIL Valuation for 2023 prospects behind New Orleans Isidore Newman Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Arch Manning, Uniontown (Pa.) Laurel Highlands four-star athlete Rodney Gallagher, Baltimore St. Frances Academy three-star wide receiver Lamar Patterson, Bloomington (Ind.) Bloomington South four-star cornerback Daeh McCullough and Los Alamitos (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Malachi Nelson.

Colorado’s offer comes about a month after Johntay Cook II released his top seven teams.
Those seven schools are Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Texas and Texas A&M.
