Bryce Harper, Nick Castellanos rock Colorado, Deion Sanders gear before NLDS Game 3
As the Philadelphia Phillies try to get a National League Division Series win over the Atlanta Braves, they’re turning to a popular source of inspiration. Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos are repping Colorado and Deion Sanders.
The two stars arrived at Citizens Bank Park wearing Buffs gear. Harper’s t-shirt prominently featured Coach Prime and Shedeur Sanders, while Castellanos was wearing the popular white “PRIME” hoodie with a Colorado logo across the chest.
Clearly, it must be personal for the Phillies, especially considering Sanders played for the Braves from 1991-94.
Colorado’s social media team also noticed the outfits and gave Harper and Castellanos a shoutout.
Game 3 of the NLDS gets underway Wednesday night at 5 p.m. ET as Philadelphia tries to get back to the National League Championship Series. The series started with a 3-0 Phillies victory, but the Braves pulled off a crazy win in Game 2 to tie things up.
Philadelphia had a 4-0 lead, but Atlanta didn’t go quietly, taking a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the 8th inning. The Phillies started to threaten in the top of the 9th when Harper reached first base and Castellanos came to the plate with one out. He hit a fly ball to the wall, where Michael Harris II took away what would’ve been an extra-base hit.

Harper, however, started running and went too far. As he scrambled back to first base, Harris got the ball back in and Austin Riley caught the throw and got it to first baseman Matt Olson just in time to cap off a wild double play. The Braves got the 5-4 victory and tied the series at 1-1, shifting the series back to Philadelphia.
Sanders and Colorado have been the talk of the sports world this year as the Buffaloes, one year removed from a 1-11 record, started the year 3-0. After losses to USC and Oregon, CU bounced back to get a 27-24 victory over Arizona State last week to improve to 4-2 on the year.
Both Deion and Shedeur Sanders have also received their share of endorsement deals. They star in a KFC commercial together, which shows the impact of NIL on the Colorado program. Shedeur Sanders is the highest-profile athlete on the team with an On3 NIL Valuation of $4.8 million. That puts him second in the On3 NIL 100 — the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation — behind USC guard Bronny James.
The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.
