Five-Star Plus+ 2025 QB Bryce Underwood visiting Colorado
Belleville (Mich.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Bryce Underwood is a wanted man as the No. 1 overall recruit in the Class of 2025. While dozens of schools have offered, a small handful look to be in contention for his commitment at the moment, which is expected to come in January.
Michigan and LSU have been the names most tied to Underwood, but Colorado and Deion Sanders have emerged as a real threat in recent weeks.
He was originally set to visit the Buffaloes on Sept. 30, but has instead moved up that visit to this weekend when CU hosts in-state rival Colorado State in Boulder, On3’s Josh Newberg has confirmed. The news was first reported by 247Sports.com’s Steve Wiltfong.
Visit will be crucial for Colorado and Underwood
His visit comes at a pivotal point in his recruitment as the Buffaloes make their push. Michigan has been recruiting him longer than any other contender, but will have to fight off a lot of momentum behind Sanders’ program.
LSU and quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan have also made him a top priority and hosted him for a multi-day unofficial visit in July, one that made a strong impression on the elite signal-caller

Michigan has hosted Underwood in Ann Arbor at least six times this year, and he was in Ann Arbor for back-to-back visits at the end of July. The Wolverines tried to get him on campus this weekend, but he’ll travel to Boulder first and will likely be back in Ann Arbor again this fall.
Sanders and Co. offered him back in January, but the on-field product — especially the play of Shedeur Sanders — looks to have ratcheted things up a notch.
Underwood’s commitment date set for January
Underwood’s tentative commitment date is set for January 6. With four more months to go, there’s still a lot that can happen with On3’s No. 1 ranked player in the country.
“He’s getting a lot of phone calls, a lot of text messages over the phone and in the DMs, along with everything else going on because he’s such a highly touted athlete,” his quarterback trainer, Donovan Dooley, told The Wolverine. “The biggest thing for him is, again, keeping the main thing, the main thing, while trusting his support staff, family, mom, dad and the coaches, while just weighing out the pros and cons. For Bryce, it’s coming down the wire of where he wants to go, so we’ll see where he ends up going.”
