Colorado builds Deion Sanders personal locker room with gold-plated signage
Colorado head coach Deion Sanders‘ mantra of looking good, playing good, and getting paid good reached a new level of meaning on Friday.
Ahead of the team’s Week 8 matchup against Cincinnati, the Buffaloes unveiled a new custom locker room for Coach Prime that’s decked out with a multitude of details and features. From glass doors, a multitude of drawers, and several personalized logos, Sanders’ locker room is pristine and has all the bells and whistles, which can be seen below.
Shield Lockers was the company responsible for putting together Sanders’ custom locker room. A group that has excelled in the locker room space working with teams at the NBA level like the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets, NFL teams like the Los Angeles Chargers and Rams, and numerous college football programs including the Buffaloes.
A company that received high praise for Sanders after getting his first look at his new digs.
“Shield Lockers, you are awesome, you did the dog-gone thing. Matter of fact, this is so nice, I’m gonna bring it to the crib,” Sanders said.

Sanders’ locker room isn’t just for him, also requesting that there was a dedicated space for the Colorado assistant athletic director for sports equipment Michael “Smitty” Smith. His right-hand man whose been at the forefront of the Buffaloes’ uniform design and equipment after returning to the program following a 16-year stint working at Nike.
Coaches having a locker room is not a new thing in the college football landscape, but Coach Prime’s may be on another tier. Even admitting himself that a locker room like this should also come with results.
“This is a got-to-win locker room right here, you gotta win.”
The Buffaloes have been winning in their second season under Sanders, surpassing their win total from year one last weekend to extend their record to 5-2 with five games ahead of them in the regular season. And there’s no question that continued success will only lead to more benefits along the way with their one-of-one head coach in charge.
