A columnist from the Denver Post tried to ask Deion Sanders a question during his press conference on Friday, but Coach Prime had no interest in answering it.

The columnist told Sanders that he wanted to ask a football question, but it’s clear that’s something he said or wrote in the past is still bothering the Colorado head coach.

“You don’t like us, man. Why do you do this to yourself?” Deion Sanders asked. “No, I’m serious. Why do you do this? Like you know you don’t. Like why do you do this?”

Sanders continued, asking for specifics as far as what he or his program did wrong.

“It would be hard for me to really engage in someone I don’t like or someone I don’t like. I’m just asking why? Like why? What did I do?” Sanders repeated.

The Denver Post writer responded that there isn’t anything in particular that Sanders did wrong.

“You’ve gotta pay bills, man. You didn’t do anything. It’s not about that. This is a football question,” he said.

He then again tried to ask his question, but Sanders still wasn’t interested in answering.

“But why? I’m asking you why? … You want me to answer you, so why? … You’re always under attack. Like what did we do to you?” Sanders said.

The columnist responded that he wasn’t on the attack on Friday, and Sanders replied: “I’m not going to give you the opportunity to be on attack. …  I’m serious. I want to help. Because it’s not normal.”

Finally, the Denver Post columnist and Deion Sanders agreed to talk in private at some point to sort out their differences. During that meeting, they can talk about the columnist’s alleged negativity, and the columnist can also ask his football questions.

“No, we’ll talk about that when we talk about that. I’ll talk about that with you,” Sanders said.

Deion Sanders refuses to answer CBS Sports question during 2024 Media Day: ‘They know what they did’

In addition to the reporter from the Denver Post, Colorado coach Deion Sanders also got into it briefly with a local reporter on Friday, denying him the chance to ask a question in a Media Day press conference over some beef with his CBS Sports affiliation.

The interruption at the press conference occurred when Eric Christensen of CBS News Colorado in Denver attempted to ask a question.

After Christensen introduced himself and stated his media affiliation, Deion Sanders cut him off.

“CBS, I’m not doing nothing with CBS,” the Colorado head coach said. “Next question. Ain’t got nothing to do with you, it’s above that. Ain’t got nothing to do with you. I’ve got love for you, I appreciate and respect you. Ain’t got nothing to do with you. They know what they did.”
