Indianapolis (Ind.) Cathedral three-star quarterback Danny O’Neil received an offer from Colorado on Wednesday. He announced the news over social media.

O’Neil is the No. 605 overall prospect and No. 48 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Indiana.

On3 rates O’Neil higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2024 On300, O’Neil is the No. 43 quarterback in the country.

The 6-foot-0.5, 180-pound signal-caller holds 10 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Kentucky has a close lead for his commitment at 38.4%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

More on Colorado’s recruiting efforts under Deion Sanders

Since Deion Sanders became Colorado’s head coach, the Buffaloes have added three players to their 2024 recruiting class. They are Valdosta (Ga.) four-star defensive lineman Omar White, Valdosta (Ga.) On3 four-star defensive lineman Eric Brantley Jr. and Compton (Calif.) Leuzinger three-star wide receiver Daijon Calimon.

Colorado also signed two quarterbacks in the 2023 cycle. Stevenson Ranch (Calif.) West Ranch three-star Ryan Staub and Douglasville (Ga.) South Paulding three-star quarterback Kasen Weisman are both ranked in the top 1,300 of the 2023 On3 Consensus.

O’Neil has an On3 NIL Valuation of $22K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
