Colorado, Deion Sanders offer 2024 5-star CB Ellis Robinson IV

New Haven (Conn.) IMG Academy five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson IV received an offer from Colorado on Saturday. He announced the news over social media.

Robinson IV is the No. 7 overall prospect and No. 1 cornerback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Florida.

On3 rates Robinson IV higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 2 overall prospect and No. 1 player in Florida.

The 5-foot-11.5, 180-pound defensive back has received 32 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Alabama is leading for his commitment at 61.8%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Colorado currently has one commitment in its 2024 recruiting class in three-star wide receiver Daijon Calimon. Sanders and his staff have offered top 2024 prospects including Robinson IV, Oklahoma City (Okla.) IMG Academy five-star defensive lineman David Stone, Los Alamitos (Calif.) four-star defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham and Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star defensive lineman Aydin Breland.

Robinson IV has an On3 NIL Valuation of $139K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

“Measured in at 5-foot-11.5, 169 pounds with a 6-foot-7 wing-span prior to his junior season. Also tests as a very good athlete, running a 4.56 second electronically-timed 40-yard dash. Transferred to IMG Academy for his junior season and should see an uptick in competition as a high school upperclassman.”
