Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton has been all over the country this fall as he works through his recruitment.

This weekend, he’s making a return visit to Colorado for an official visit with Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes, he tells On3’s Josh Newberg.

“I’m going because Prime needs linemen,” Seaton said. “I want to see if this a program that I can get developed at and play for a national championship.”

Seaton was in Boulder for an unofficial visit in September. He’s also been to Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Oregon this fall. Colorado has already made one impression on Seaton, but now Sanders and Co. have an opportunity to become a frontrunner for the top-ranked uncommitted prospect in the 2024 cycle.

“It was an electric game and atmosphere. They made a great first impression,” Seaton told On3 after his first Colorado visit. “It looked like a BET awards show out there to keep it real. The environment was great and I liked the level of football they played and the intensity the coaches coached with. The Colorado coaches don’t coach with negativity, they always have a positive attitude and they were able to stay together and come out with a win. This visit showed me a lot.”

Colorado is one of many programs in the running for Seaton’s pledge. Along with the other programs that have recently gotten him on campus, the likes of South Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida State are among others that remain interested.

Jordan Seaton Recruiting Profile

Seaton is the No. 19 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle recruit and the No. 4 player in the Sunshine State.

He was one of the country’s biggest rankings risers over the past few months, ascending to No. 7 in the most recent On300 rankings. On3’s Scouting and Rankings Director Charles Power wrote this about what has made him such a dominant force this fall:

“Offensive tackle Jordan Seaton (No. 7) was an easy call to earn his fifth-star after turning in a very strong start. The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder transferred from Washington (D.C.) St. John’s to IMG Academy for his senior season and has shown to be the most technically advanced offensive tackle in the cycle to this point. Seaton’s high level of skill is readily apparent both on film and in person. He plays with advanced awareness and coordination. The inherent feel for leverage combines with strong hands that stymie pass rushers on contact. He plays with control and balance. We also like Seaton’s physicality and nasty on-field demeanor. We view the new five-star as a high-floor prospect with the ability to get on the field early in his college career.”
