Colorado didn’t start charging hard in the recruitment of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star cornerback Alex Graham until early this year.

The Detroit native has fielded 40 offers and was also being courted by the likes of Alabama, Georgia and Michigan. As soon as he got his first call from the Buffaloes, though, the new Big 12 program jumped to the top of his list. On Friday, he became the first commitment for Deion Sanders and Co. this cycle.

Graham is the No. 210 overall prospect and No. 24 corner in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 32 player in Florida.

Last month, Graham told On3 that coaches and player development would be key factors in his decision. What Sanders and his staff have accomplished thus far in Boulder has caught the eye of the DB. He sees the vision and is ready to help the Buffs take the next step in the coming years.

“Being coached by NFL vets, Boulder is very peaceful with amazing views, and I BELIEVE in what Coach Prime is doing with the program,” Graham told On3. “Coach Prime is very Genuine. Players with the right mentality could help the program succeed!”

Sanders and his staff have put a major focus on the NCAA Transfer Portal since his arrival in Boulder. After inking a small class last cycle, Colorado is finally on the board with the class of 2025. Graham says he’s still planning to take visits, but for now, his pledge lies in the Centennial State.
