Colorado head coach Deion Sanders caused a bit of a stir recently when he refused to answer a question from Eric Christensen of CBS News Colorado in Denver at a press conference. Sanders wasn’t upset with Christensen in particular but he was unhappy with CBS Sports.

“CBS, I’m not doing nothing with CBS,” the Colorado head coach said at the time. “Next question. Ain’t got nothing to do with you, it’s above that. Ain’t got nothing to do with you.”

Sanders clarified during a press conference on Friday that he and Christensen are now fine. He reiterated that he was never unhappy with the reporter and he would gladly answer his questions moving forward.

“Is the guy here from CBS? Who’s here from CBS?” Sanders asked. ” Tell him ‘He know. He know.’ … I want everybody to know that we was good then, but they made it seem like we wasn’t good. We’re good. I love him and I appreciate him and tell him I’ll do a one-on-one sit down with him. We’re good. We’re good now. We’ve been good, but we’re really good now.”

During the press conference earlier this month, Christensen did his best to push back as a reporter, informing Sanders that he was at the press conference on behalf of the Denver news, not any national assignment for CBS.

Sanders cut in again.

“You are who you are. CBS is CBS,” he said. “Ain’t got nothing to do with you, I respect you. That’s why I told you that. I’m looking you in the eye as a man. I respect you, I got love for you. But what they did was foul.”

At the same press conference back at the beginning of the month, Deion Sanders also had an issue with a reporter from the Denver Post. The columnist tried to ask Sanders a question during his press conference, but Coach Prime had no interest in answering it.

The columnist told Sanders that he wanted to ask a football question, but it’s clear that something he said or wrote in the past is still bothering the Colorado head coach.

“You don’t like us, man. Why do you do this to yourself?” Deion Sanders asked. “No, I’m serious. Why do you do this? Like you know you don’t. Like why do you do this?”

Sanders continued, asking for specifics as far as what he or his program did wrong.

“It would be hard for me to really engage in someone I don’t like or someone I don’t like. I’m just asking why? Like why? What did I do?” Sanders repeated.

The Denver Post writer responded that there isn’t anything in particular that Sanders did wrong.

“You’ve gotta pay bills, man. You didn’t do anything. It’s not about that. This is a football question,” he said.

He then again tried to ask his question, but Sanders still wasn’t interested in answering.

“But why? I’m asking you why. … You want me to answer you, so why? … You’re always under attack. Like what did we do to you?” Sanders said.

The columnist responded that he wasn’t on the attack on Friday, and Sanders replied: “I’m not going to give you the opportunity to be on attack. …  I’m serious. I want to help. Because it’s not normal.”
