Bartolone brings a bright resume with him to Colorado as a coach and as a Pac-12 Conference player, following Sanders from Jackson State. Bartolone played college football at Washington State where his career was derailed unfortunately by injury. In his only full season at Washington State — as a true freshman in 2012 — Bartolone started and led the team in receptions under coach Mike Leach.
Bartolone joined Jackson State as offensive coordinator in 2022, but began his coaching career in 2016. Prior to his success at Jackson State, Bartolone was an offensive analyst and assistant quarterbacks coach for Nevada. The Wolfpack was the fourth-ranked passing offense and 15th-ranked scoring offense in the nation in 2021. Quarterback Carson Strong earned back-to-back Mountain West Conference Offensive player of the year honors while Bartolone was on his coaching staff.
