Colorado lands transfer commitment from Louisiana-Monroe OL Carter Miller
Louisiana-Monroe transfer offensive lineman Carter Miller has committed to Colorado, he announced Sunday on X, formerly Twitter. It will mark his second transfer in as many years and he will have two years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-2 offensive lineman appeared in 12 games for the Warhawks and mostly played center. He will now look to help a Buffaloes offensive line that gave up 3.5 sacks per game in 2024.
Miller played high school football at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee. He originally committed to play for James Madison and spent the first two seasons of his college career with the Dukes.
Miller took a redshirt during his true freshman season before stepping into a starting role the following season. He played 11 games with eight starts, helping JMU to rank top 30 in the FBS in six offensive categories, including scoring offense and passing touchdowns.
Colorado is coming off of its best season since 2016, finishing with a 9-3 record in the second year under coach Deion Sanders. Despite this, the offensive line has still been a glaring issue in each of the past two years and emphasis is on making that better to take the next step.

Miller is the first transfer to join Colorado this offseason but he surely won’t be the last. The Buffaloes have been one of the most active teams in the transfer portal the past two seasons under Sanders and that shouldn’t change.
The transfer portal officially opened Monday and will remain open until Dec. 28, though players on teams still playing in the postseason will get an additional five-day window to enter the portal after their seasons end.
