Colorado LB Jeremiah Brown plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Colorado linebacker Jeremiah Brown plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
After following Deion Sanders from Jackson State to Colorado, Brown played two years for the Buffaloes. However, he only played four games this season.
In two years at Colorado, Brown had 17 tackles and one pass deflection. He’ll have one year of eligibility remaining.
As a member of the Class of 2021, Brown was not ranked, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Brown played his HS football out of Carrabelle (Fla.) Gadsden County.

After a 4-8 campaign, Sanders really turned things around with a 9-3 season in 2024 and a postseason game. Colorado and Prime are reportedly in talks about a contract extension.
On Monday, Buffzone’s Brian Howell reported Sanders and Colorado athletic director Rick George have discussed a contract extension.
“Met with Colorado AD Rick George, who told me he and head football coach Deion Sanders have discussed a contract extension and will continue to have discussions after the season is over,” Howell said. “After this year, Sanders has three years remaining on his original 5-year deal.”
Sanders and Colorado initially agreed to a five-year, $29.5 million deal when he took over the program in December 2022. Per the current contract, Sanders’ 2024 salary is $5.7 million and increases by $200,000 for each year remaining on the deal.
