Deion Sanders and Colorado dominated their way to a 36-14 win over Nebraska to improve to 2-0 on the season in front of a raucous crowd in Boulder.

Sanders expected this a long time ago and now he and his team got to prove it again for the second straight week. The No. 22 Buffaloes controlled the game throughout and pulled away in the final 30 minutes.

Sanders spoke with FOX’s Jenny Taft in the tunnel right after the game.

“I’m so proud of our team,” Sanders said on the broadcast. “We stunk it up in the first half but in the second half we came back. We had a great talk at halftime and we just came back and used our resilience.”

The defense made life difficult for Nebraska quarterback Jeff Sims. He turned the ball over three times.

“They played their butts off,” Sanders said. “We knew it was a couple personnel things that we needed to fix. We’re still gonna go take a look. Just giving up that big play at the end of the game, we hate stuff like that, coaches do. But overall I’m so proud of our kids.

“I’m so proud of the school, proud of the alumni and everyone I mean seeing the kids storm the field. I’ve never been a part of anything like that before. So I love it. 100%.”

Sheduer Sanders led the way with another fantastic performance. After the offense sputtered a little early on, the quarterback picked it up.

He went 31-of-42 passing for 393 yards, two touchdowns and a touchdown on the ground. Xavier Weaver had a breakout game with 10 catches, 170 yards and a touchdown.

“I don’t think I stumbled or stuttered when I told you we were coming,” Sanders said. “We coming. God bless you. Thank you.”

It was a scoreless first quarter but Colorado eventually led 13-0 at halftime. At that point, it looked like it was over the Huskers.

However, Sims managed to run 57 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to cut the lead 13-7. Just like that, it was a ball game.

But, Shedeur Sanders engineered a 10-play, 75-yard drive that resulted in Weaver’s touchdown reception and the Buffaloes eventually pulled away from there.

It seems like Colorado is for real, to this point, exactly how Sanders envisioned his program.

Next up, Colorado hosts Colorado State at 10:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. MT on September 16.
