Colorado offers On3 4-star CB CJ Blocker
New Caney (Texas) four-star cornerback CJ Blocker received an offer from Colorado on Wednesday. He announced the news over social media.
Blocker is the No. 454 overall prospect and No. 47 cornerback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 73 player in Texas.
On3 rates Blocker higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is the No. 298 overall prospect, No. 35 cornerback and No. 52 player in Texas.
The 5-foot-10.5, 160-pound defensive back received the latest offer from new Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders and his staff. Multiple players have backed off their pledges to Colorado after Sanders’ hire. However, the program got a commitment from Columbus (Ohio) KIPP Columbus three-star Jordan Hall, a former Jackson State pledge, on Dec. 6.

Positive news on Texas QB
Blocker, a former Utah commit, currently holds 17 offers. He has official visits scheduled to TCU (Dec. 9) and USC (Dec. 16).
The Buffaloes currently have one cornerback commit in their 2023 recruiting class. Downey (Calif.) St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy three-star Jordan Shaw chose Colorado on Nov. 1.
Blocker has an On3 NIL Valuation of $14.9K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
