Colorado offers 2024 top-55 DL Hevin Brown-Shuler
Atlanta Pace Academy four-star defensive lineman Hevin Brown-Shuler received an offer from Colorado on Friday. He announced the news over social media.
Brown-Shuler is the No. 51 overall prospect and No. 8 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 10 player in Georgia.
The 6-foot-2.5, 300-pound recruit currently holds 34 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, South Carolina has a close lead for his commitment at 29.9%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Brown-Shuler has an On3 NIL Valuation of $73K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

More on Colorado’s recruiting efforts under Deion Sanders
Brown-Shuler’s offer comes within the first week of Deion Sanders‘ tenure as the Buffaloes’ head coach. Sanders has already landed multiple commitments, including Fort Myers (Fla.) IMG Academy 2025 four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr., Columbus (Ohio) KIPP Columbus three-star offensive tackle Jordan Hall and Compton (Calif.) Leuzinger 2024 three-star wide receiver Daijon Calimon.
Colorado’s new head man has high expectations for the program. He recently shared that the Buffaloes are going to have a massive recruiting weekend after Jackson State plays in the Celebration Bowl on Dec. 17.
“I’m going to get back on a plane and go and have the biggest recruiting weekend they’ve ever had in the history of Colorado,” Sanders said on HBCU Gameday. “That’s how it’s gonna go down.”
Calimon is currently the only pledge in the Buffaloes’ 2024 recruiting class. Meanwhile, Colorado’s 2023 class contains 11 commitments.
