Douglasville (Ga.) South Paulding three-star quarterback Kasen Weisman received an offer from Colorado on Thursday night. The Kansas commit announced the news over social media.

Weisman is the No. 1,198 overall prospect and No. 66 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 115 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound signal-caller has been pledged to the Jayhawks since Aug. 11. He is currently the only quarterback commit in Kansas’ 2023 recruiting class.

Meanwhile, the Buffaloes have one quarterback commit in Stevenson Ranch (Calif.) West Ranch three-star Ryan Staub. The California native is the No. 1,132 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.

Since taking the Colorado job, head coach Deion Sanders has landed multiple commitments. They include Fort Myers (Fla.) IMG Academy 2025 four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr., Columbus (Ohio) KIPP Columbus three-star offensive tackle Jordan Hall and Compton (Calif.) Leuzinger 2024 three-star wide receiver Daijon Calimon.

The Buffaloes have also parted ways with nearly 10 members of their 2023 recruiting class since Sanders’ arrival. Sanders, Jackson State‘s former head coach, promised the “biggest recruiting weekend” in Colorado program history on Thursday.

Weisman has an On3 NIL Valuation of $46K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
