Julian Lewis knows which franchise Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders is going to be selected by in the 2025 NFL Draft. Or at least, so he thinks.

In a clip of content from Well Off Media ahead of the Buffaloes’ matchup with BYU in the Alamo Bowl tomorrow, Lewis, the four-star quarterback taking part in his first collegiate practices, was sitting next to Sanders in their lockers. In the video, Lewis says that Sanders would be the next quarterback of the New York Giants.

Sanders, after his final collegiate outing tomorrow in San Antonio, will be one of the first players, let alone quarterbacks, off the board come the draft in April. That’s after his senior season with the Buffs where he threw for a career-high of 3,926 yards on career-best completion of 74.2% for 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Now, based on most projections, either he will or Miami’s Cam Ward will be QB1 in the draft while either of them or Travis Hunter could be the selection at No. 1 overall.

The New York Giants will almost certainly be one of those teams in position to select one of them at the top spot. They are 2-13 with two games to go and, with that, would currently have the No. 1 pick. However, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Las Vegas, and New England are all tied at 3-12 behind them with only a games difference apart in record with several of those teams also needing a quarterback like Sanders.

From there, Lewis will be in contention to be one of the next quarterbacks for Colorado. That’s less likely now early on with the transfer addition of Liberty QB Kaidon Salter but, nonetheless, he flipped his commitment from USC and signed there to eventually play for Deion Sanders. That’s after being a Top-40 prospect and the No. 6 QB in the class of 2025 per On3’s Industry Ranking.

Some team is likely going to end up with Sanders within the first three or so selections this spring. As for a guess, though, Lewis thinks he’ll head back to The Big Apple to play for the Giants.
