Colorado trending for a trio of top recruiting targets
Under Deion Sanders, Colorado has done more damage in the transfer portal than on the recruiting trail, but the Buffaloes are looking to make a splash early in the 2025 cycle.
After landing 11 pledges in 2024, they’re still stuck on zero thus far but could be on the board very soon. On Wednesday, On3’s Steve Wiltfong broke down three key targets that the Buffaloes are trending for, including one set to commit in the next 10 days.
4-star CB Alex Graham
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 210
Wiltfong’s Take: “I like Colorado, and in talking to sources with knowledge of the recruitment, they like the position that Colorado is in at this point in the process with Alex Graham. Colorado offered in February, but this is a young man they’ve had on the radar for a long time. Programs like Michigan and Penn State have certainly made an impression. He posted an edit on social media showing love to Alabama, Oregon and a couple of others, but Colorado is well-positioned for one of their top targets in the 2025 cycle heading into their spring game in less than two weeks.

3-star LB Mantrez Walker
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 661
Wiltfong’s Take: “A former Michigan commit who has taken visits to places like Ole Miss and Miami, Mantrez Walker went to Colorado in the fall for a game and fell in love. His relationship with Coach Hart and that staff has really resonated with him. And he sees an opportunity to play early. Colorado has made him feel like he’s their No. 1 guy on the board at that position, and he will be at the spring game. And this is lining up very well for the Buffaloes.”
3-star TE Corbin Laisure
Wiltfong’s Take: “My RPM is on Colorado for Corbin Laisure, and they also had him on campus for a game in the fall where he got a chance to soak in the atmosphere and energy around Deion Sanders’ program. And the outstanding fan support that Colorado has. This kid is just a pure football player, one of the best two-way players in the state of Tennessee. He is dominant on both sides of the ball, and he is a guy that Colorado has identified they want in their program. And it’s trending well for them.”
