Colorado safety Savion Riley entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He was among a handful of players not listed on the Buffaloes’ roster last week.

Riley appeared in nine games in 2024 to finish with 12 tackles, including one for loss. He played 85 special teams snaps as well as 77 defensive snaps.

Colorado’s spring game is a few days away on April 19. The spring transfer portal window openrf on April 16, and any player who wishes to enter their name must do so before April 25.

Riley wasn’t the only player not listed on the Colorado roster as of last week. Defensive end Keaten Wade and tight end Sam Hart were also missing.

Wade was the biggest contributor of the three a season ago. After missing the first six games of the season due to injury, he returned for the second half of the year to finish with 20 tackles (7.5 for loss), four sacks, three QB hurries and a fumble recovery.

This past season was Wade’s first with the Buffaloes after spending the first two years of his college career at Kentucky. He was a four-star recruit out of high school in 2022 and was considered the No. 26 edge rusher in the transfer portal last season according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Hart was a transfer from Ohio State last season and had two years of eligibility left when he joined the Buffaloes. He played in the first six games but made only one catch for -1 yards.
