Colorado set to debut Michael Strahan brand suits designed by Deion Sanders
Colorado will roll into Week 2 in style. On Friday, the Buffzone’s Brian Howell reported the team will sport custom-made suits ahead of their game against Nebraska.
“This weekend, Colorado players will debut their new custom Michael Strahan brand suits,” Howell wrote. “Head coach Deion Sanders hand-picked every detail of the suits and there was an on-campus fitting for players in July.”
This isn’t the first time Strahan and Sanders have teamed up. Strahan also hooked up Sanders’ squad with custom suit when he was the head coach at Jackson State. Earlier this month, Sanders revealed his thought process behind the design.
“We’ve got a lot of eyes on us, so you know I had to make sure the team was looking right, down to all the details from the color of the stitches to the I BELIEVE on the inside,” Sanders told GQ. “I don’t follow trends, I set trends.
“Working with Strahan and his team on these custom suits has been a tremendous blessing for our program,” Sanders said. “They believed in the movement since Day 1 and [it] was only right to partner with them yet again.”
Strahan was happy to support his fellow NFL Hall of Fame member.
“I was excited because I loved what he was doing with his team,” Strahan told GQ. “Not just pushing them to be their best on the field but also off. Coach Prime and I have been friends a long time, so I know he’s authentic in his actions and my partner, Constance Schwartz-Morini, and I wanted to support that. Our immediate reaction was, ‘Absolutely, we’re in.’”

Strahan’s belief paid off. Colorado put the nation on notice in its 45-42 season-opening win against TCU on Saturday. After the win, Sanders reminded fans of his preseason confidence.
“Ain’t none of y’all believed that,” Deion Sanders said, pointing at the press, after Colorado’s win. “Maybe a couple of y’all that knew me and know how I get down. They know I’m a winner. We going to end up winning.
“Ain’t none of y’all thought you was gonna be sitting up here. You was supposed to be on the other side, interviewing that, or coming and asking me, ‘What happened? You said this and you said that.’ Yeah, now what? Now what? Everybody quiet now. Now what?”
Sanders will have an opportunity to silence doubters again. On Saturday, Colorado will square off at noon ET. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
