Colorado trending for 2025 4-star WR LaMason Waller

Hesperia (Calif.) Sultana High School four-star wide receiver LaMason Waller is one of the top players at his position in the 2025 cycle.

Among his more than 50 offers are ones from Oregon, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

But it’s Colorado that is trending heavily to land the top-250 prospect in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). After the latest picks from around the recruiting industry, the Buffaloes hold an 85.6 percent chance of landing his commitment.

Head coach Deion Sanders and wide receivers coach Brett Bartolone have made Waller a top priority since taking over last winter in Boulder. Waller will be on campus again this weekend to see CU play, his third trip since April. That follows a trip to Tennessee earlier this season, with the Vols seen as the other main contender for him right now.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder is the No. 215 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 29 wide receiver and the No. 22 recruit in California.

In 10 games, Waller caught 56 passes for 888 yards and 12 touchdowns and added 108 yards and three more scores on the ground.

Buffaloes off to a strong start in 2025 class

While Sanders and his staff only have 11 commitments in the 2024 class and are likely to go heavy in the transfer portal this offseason, they have some major momentum early on in 2025. Earlier this month, the Buffs added their quarterback of the future when four-star Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County passer Antwann Hill Jr. pledged to CU.

Hill is the No. 82 overall recruit and No. 7 QB in 2025, and his addition gave Colorado a top-10 class early in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. He joined a class that also includes top-75 wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr. and three-star running back Jamarice Wilder.
