
<p>Lakeland (Fla.) <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/rankings/consensus-five-stars/football/2023/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Five-Star Plus+</a> cornerback <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/db/cormani-mcclain-26428/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cormani McClain</a></strong> confirmed an official visit to <strong><strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/college/colorado-buffaloes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Colorado</a></strong></strong> by posting photos from his trip to Boulder on Instagram Sunday night. McClain has been committed to <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/miami-hurricanes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Miami</a></strong> since Oct. 27, but did not sign with the Hurricanes during the Early Signing Period. </p>



<p>Images <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/cormani-mcclain-26428/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">first surfaced</a> of what appeared to be McClain visiting the Buffaloes yesterday.  Meanwhile, Hurricanes coaches showed up to meet with McClain at his high school on Friday, but he was not on campus to meet them, according to <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/miami-hurricanes/news/what-we-know-as-the-cormani-mcclain-situation-continues-to-evolve/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Matt Shodell of CaneSport</a>.  </p>

<p>McClain’s commitment to Miami shocked many, who thought <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/alabama-crimson-tide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Alabama</a></strong> and <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/florida-gators/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Florida</a></strong> were in better position to land his pledge. Meanwhile, Colorado <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/colorado-buffaloes/news/colorado-buffaloes-deion-sanders-in-contact-with-cormani-mcclain/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">got in contact</a> with the Florida native during the Early Signing Period, according to reports.</p>



<p>During the Under Armour All-America Game, McClain told an ESPN broadcast that he would be “signing Jan. 15.” He has yet to provide updated news on where he will play college football. </p>



<p>A prospect could only sign a financial aid agreement, which is non-binding, today. But on Feb. 1 — National Signing Day — McClain could then sign his National Letter of Intent, which binds him to the college of his choice on that date.</p>



<p>McClain is the No. 3 overall prospect and No. 1 cornerback in the 2023 cycle, according to the <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/db/rankings/consensus-player/football/2023/">On3 Consensus</a></strong>, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Florida.</p>
