Deion Sanders calls out On3 after Well Off Media hires Phillip Dukes
Colorado coach Deion Sanders called out On3 after Well Off Media hired former host Phillip Dukes.
Dukes, who was previously employed by On3, provided recruiting analysis and hosted the Five Star Flex throughout the company’s YouTube channels. On3 did not renew Dukes’ contract for 2025.
But that didn’t stop Sanders from being “petty,” as Coach Prime liked to call it.
“Phillip Dukes with Well Off Media,” Dukes began during his question amid Sanders’ press conference.
“My man, my dog,” Sanders interjected. “They thought they counted you out … God gave him favor. On3, how you like him now? Yeah, I’m going to say it. You’re darn right I’m going to say it. Let’s go. I’m sorry. I apologize. I’m kind of petty at times. That’s the pettiness in me. I’m sorry. Go ahead, Mr. Dukes.”
At least Sanders is for the brand despite being petty. Of course, the media members in attendance had to laugh at the interaction.

Perhaps it’s all in good fun as Dukes works with Well Off Media, run by Deion Sanders Jr. Dukes provides a lot more Colorado content these days and it appears to be a good partnership with both parties.
As far as Sanders and Colorado right now, they’re 8-2 and control their destiny to win the Big 12 and get to the College Football Playoff.
With that, there’s a lot of discussion of whether Sanders would be a good fit for the Dallas Cowboys next year. ESPN’s Louis Riddick likes where Sanders is right now, just fine.
“The NFL needs, and probably, realistically should want Deion much more than I believe Deion wants the NFL, or needs the NFL,” Riddick said. “Okay, so he, right now, is in the driver’s seat if there is legitimate interest in him. I don’t know if the NFL is a great fit for him because of the way he wants to coach and what he demands in terms of player buy in, player discipline, no second guessing the coach. Like there’s a lot of things … I don’t want to stereotype every NFL player … There are players that want to be coached hard. And Deion, make no mistake, do not get fooled by the glasses, the gold chains, the change of outfits. This man is old school, and he’s no nonsense …
“But I don’t know if he wants to deal with the NFL right now … But in my (talks) with him, it would take a lot in order for him to leave the college game. It’s going to take a lot for him to ever leave Colorado. You see how they’re playing right now? You see how this football team looks right now? Why would you want to leave?”
