Deion Sanders predicted it and he knew what would happen when Colorado went to TCU over the weekend: the Buffaloes would win.

It wasn’t that Sanders believed Colorado would win, he knew it. Call Sanders an oracle if you want, but the Colorado head coach has a lot of the world believing now.

Sanders joined FS1’s Undisputed with Skip Bayless and Michael Irvin and was honest as always.

“Skip before we left Boulder, we knew we were going to win,” Sanders said. “We prepare for this stuff. This is not just a figment of my imagination. This is something that we prepare for and we think about and we work towards, situational football that we practiced, nobody said nothing about the conditioning. We were conditioned. We were drinking water, Gatorade over the last two weeks left and right. We were prepared for this.”

Sanders dove into what Colorado did at practice to change on the fly and great ready for the big and hot environment.

“We stopped and I changed practice,” Sanders said. “Several days we stopped in the middle of the practice and ran seven gassers. And then we continue to practice because I wanted to know who was gonna fatigue, who was gonna cry, you know who was weak, who was gonna say poor little me. We prepared for this thing and we’re continuing to prepare. What do we think Skip? I’m sorry. That’s the way we think.”

The conditioning was on display, for sure, with Travis Hunter. Hunter played both ways extremely effectively, going over 100 yards receiving and grabbed an impressive interception on defense.

“There were some big plays throughout the game and all we kept teaching was just getting one stop,” Sanders said postgame on the FOX broadcast. “But what about the offense? How did they respond? How do these guys respond? I don’t know how many snaps (Travis Hunter) played, but we’ll put a hot tub on the plane for him to make sure he’s straight.”

Shedeur Sanders finished 38-of-47 passing for 510 yards (a school record) and four touchdown passes. Dylan Edwards had six carries for 24 yards and a touchdown but caught five passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns.

Now all eyes are on Colorado once again going into Week 2 when the Buffaloes host Nebraska at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
