Deion Sanders files multiple trademarks amid strong start to Colorado tenure
Deion Sanders has filed multiple trademarks amid his strong start to his tenure with the Colorado Buffaloes.
Evidently, Coach Prime is looking to continue to build his brand, and nobody can blame him, as he’s off to a roaring start in Boulder. On Wednesday, Trademark attorney Josh Gerben shared the trademarks Sanders filed for on Monday to Twitter.
“Deion Sanders has been busy… filing trademarks,” tweeted Gerben. “On Monday, Sanders filed: 1. COACH PRIME 2. PRIME EFFECT 3. DADDY BUCK 4. IT’S PERSONAL The filings seek to protect these trademarks for a clothing brand, production company and even coaching services.”
You can’t blame Sanders for looking to capitalize on his popularity. He has the world stopping to watch Colorado football — Colorado football — that’s a pretty amazing feat for the man they affectionately call Coach Prime.
Alas, this comes after Sanders previously filed three trademarks over the summer, as On3’s Pete Nakos pointed out.
“Other recently filed trademarks from Deion Sanders: 1. WE COMING (Filed Aug. 18) 2. PRIME21 (Filed Aug. 18) 3. I AIN’T HARD 2 FIND (Filed June 21),” tweeted Nakos.
It takes some time for a trademark filing to process, so it remains to be seen what becomes of Sanders’ attempts, but it’s evident he has a grand vision.
Nevertheless, earned the respect of his biggest doubters, and Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes can enter a new stratosphere with a victory this weekend, as they take their show on the road to face the Oregon Ducks.

Nick Saban reveals his evaluation of Deion Sanders as a coach
Meanwhile, Deion Sanders has arguably become the face of college football, outshining even one of his own co-stars: Alabama coach Nick Saban.
The two share the stage for Aflac commercials, allowing them to create a little bit of a bond in the coaching industry. Saban was asked about his relationship with Sanders and whether what Colorado has done on the field this fall is validating everything Sanders has done with the program.
“I haven’t been able to see them a lot,” Saban said on an SEC teleconference call Wednesday. “Saw a little bit of the game last week against Colorado State, but I have a tremendous amount of respect for Deion Sanders. First, he’s a great person and he’s done a great job of marketing the program to create a lot of national interest, but I see their team playing well on the field.”
Sanders has gotten Colorado off to a 3-0 start, a scintillating start at that. The run has included some big wins and an overtime escape.
It has also featured some star players who are coming into their own the way that Sandersonce did, eventually reaching the game’s highest stage while still shining. Yet despite the fame and accolades, Sanders’ players haven’t let it go to their head.
“They play with discipline, they do a good job of executing,” Saban said. “They’ve been able to score points. They’re decent on defense. All those things to me are indicators that he’s a really good coach. I’ve always thought that and he’s always been successful whether it was Jackson State, high school or now in Colorado, his teams have always been well-coached.”
