The Sanders brothers linked for a fascinating episode of the 2Legendary podcast series, with Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders joined by Deion Sanders Jr. on the latest iteration.

Throughout the episode, the trio spoke on some interesting topics, and of course the Colorado Buffaloes came up. That’s when the team’s rabid fanbase became a topic, and Deion Sanders Jr. made a bold claim that might upset some of the more passionate groups in the sport.

“I think people like, the college football fanbase, has never seen like, a fanbase like Colorado,” Deion Sanders Jr. said, chopping it up with his brothers on the podcast. “Like, don’t get me wrong, LSU, all these like legendary teams have insane fanbases. They have 100,000 people at their games. But like, it’s a different type of people online riding with Colorado.

“Them boys be turnt up online. Like, anybody that says something about Colorado, them boys are like a full fledged attack. Like, on some real funny stuff. It’s pretty cool though. Like I always tell — the haters are only evident online. In person, these same people, it’s all love. ‘I want y’all to do good this year,’ they got a burner page on their phone, talking reckless.”

Evidently, Deion Sanders Jr. is putting Colorado fans’ passion above that of numerous other programs who would come to mind. It’s not the first choice many analysts would make, but Deion Sanders Jr. believes it to be true.

While his brothers didn’t push back on Deion Sanders Jr.’s sentiment, they’ve spoken to the pressure playing at Colorado puts on their shoulders, as Shedeur Sanders called each game against the Buffaloes for their opponent a version of the Super Bowl.

“(It’s) been that since day one,” the Colorado quarterback said, regarding how badly opponents want to beat the Buffaloes.. “I remember(my)  first media day when I was in HBCU, I said we won’t lose a game. I’m undefeated in the SWAC so I already know what the expectation comes with.

“I know we’re everybody’s Super Bowl so I really just stay level headed and grounded. I would never want to be that guy to look back and not (be) able to take advantage of the moment we have right now.”

Regardless of all the chatter, the Buffaloes look primed to make a jump in 2024. We’ll see if the Sanders brothers and Coach Prime can make Colorado proud throughout the upcoming college football season in the Big 12.
