Deion Sanders reveals his 2025 mindset amid coaching rumors: 'What God has for u is still for u'
Deion Sanders has taken to social media to reveal his 2025 mindset amid rumors surrounding his coaching future, with the Dallas Cowboys seemingly taking an interest in the Colorado Buffaloes leader.
Coach Prime is continuing to count on his faith as the calendar turns. He dropped a motivational post regarding his mission statement for the year, and the timing is uncanny. Check it out below.
“So what! That should be your attitude in 2025 ‘SO WHAT’! They gon talk about u, lie on u, Hate on u, Underestimate u, Count u out, Steal from u, Use u to come up & Sit right in yo face all the while. ‘SO WHAT’! What God has for u is still for u! They can’t stop God!” Sanders posted on X.
Perhaps Sanders is dropping a hint on where he’ll end up in 2025. On Thursday, former ESPN reporter Ed Werder went as far to suggest Sanders “would almost certainly accept” an offer from Jerry Jones to become the next head coach of the aforementioned Cowboys.
“Regarding Deion Sanders: I’m being told that he would almost certainly accept if Jerry Jones offers to make him the next Cowboys head coach,” Werder tweeted Thursday morning, “that those around him are encouraging him to pursue it and that Jones is enamored with the idea.”
Speculation surrounding Sanders and the Cowboys’ head coaching vacancy has hit a boiling point in recent days. This comes after news that Jones and Sanders have had preliminary discussions about the position in the days since parting ways with now-former Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy.

FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz reported Monday that the two Cowboys icons have spoken and Sanders is considered a top candidate for the opening, with “mutual interest” between the two parties. For his part, Sanders admitted being intrigued by the conversation with Jones, though doubled down on his desire to remain in Boulder.
“To hear from Jerry Jones is truly delightful, and it’s intriguing,” Deion Sanders told ESPN on Monday night, via ESPN insider Adam Schefter. “I love Jerry and believe in Jerry. After you hang up, and process it, and think about it, it’s intriguing. But I love Boulder and everything there is about our team, the coaches, our student body and the community.”
Sanders, 57, has been linked with the Cowboys job given his longstanding ties to Dallas. Sanders played five seasons with the Cowboys (1995-99) and was one of the biggest stars on Dallas’ last Super Bowl-winning team in 1995.
Time will tell what the future holds, but Sanders will be a hot commodity in 2025, whether it’s in Dallas with the Cowboys, or Boulder with the Buffaloes.
