Deion Sanders: Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter will play in Colorado bowl game
Deion Sanders said his son Shedeur Sanders, as well Travis Hunter, will play in Colorado’s bowl or postseason game following the regular season finale.
At the very least, Colorado will get a 13th game after Saturday’s finale against Oklahoma State. Since both are NFL Draft bound, there’s a thought both could sit out of the postseason to rest up for pro preparation.
Not on Deion Sanders’ watch though.
“No, we got a bowl game,” Sanders said. “It’s not the last time you’re gonna see them in a Buff uniform.”
If Colorado beats Oklahoma State and two of Iowa State, BYU and Arizona State lose, Colorado will play for the Big 12 title. If that’s the case, there’s still a chance at playing in the College Football Playoff.
But at the very least, Shedeur Sanders and Hunter can definitely put on a show in an upper tier bowl game for a 9-3 or 8-4 Colorado team in a few weeks.

Colorado lost control of its own destiny when it lost to Kansas last weekend. Coach Prime called it intoxication via their own success.
“We started smelling ourselves a little bit,” Sanders said. “That’s what I just told our team. We got intoxicated with the success. We got intoxicated with the multitude of articles and the assumption that we’re this and the assumption that we’re that. And we did not play CU football. Therefore, we got our butts kicked.
“When you’re in control of your own destiny, it’s a phenomenal thing. I don’t just think about football. I think about life. So the message to these young men is, if God was to work to grant you every darn thing you needed in life, all the ability, the thought process, the connections, the visuals, and you don’t do nothing with it. That’s on you, and that’s what we are. We controlled our own destiny, and we fumbled it.”
