4-star WR Dre'lon Miller commits to Colorado
Silsbee (Texas) High School four-star wide receiver Dre’lon Miller has committed to Colorado.
Miller chose the Buffaloes over LSU, USC and Texas A&M, who he decommitted from earlier this fall.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder visited the Buffaloes in November, then returned again for his official visit the weekend of December 1.
“Honestly, it’s Deion Sanders,” Miller told On3’s Sam Spiegelman about what drew him to Colorado. “He’s a coach that speaks his mind and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. He’s the exact same way as what you see on TV and has the same sense of humor.”
Miller is the No. 66 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the country’s No. 14 wide receiver and the No. 11 recruit in Texas.
Buffaloes see Miller as an instant impact player
One of the biggest selling point, other than playing for an NFL Hall of Famer like Sanders, was the opportunity for Miller to come in and contribute immediately. During his visit in November, the Buffaloes gave him a clear picture of what he could accomplish in Boulder.
“I loved talking to Coach Prime and the rest of the coaches and finding out where they see me in their offense,” Miller said. “They want me to come and play from the jump. They’re on the move to building something special and they need the pieces to make it work.”

Another blue-chipper for the Deion Sanders
Miller is the fourth blue-chip recruit this cycle for CU, joining Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, Statesboro (Ga.) four-star cornerback Kam Mikell and West Bloomfield (Mich.) four-star defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain.
Seaton committed to the Buffs on Friday — a shocker after Colorado was left off his list of seven finalists finalists. He chose Colorado over the likes of Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State and Oregon.
“When I make my decision, one thing that is very important to me is where I live,” Seaton told On3 about Colorado in November. “You only play football so many days of the year, so I want to be somewhere that I like living. The surroundings at Colorado definitely stand out. When you think of Colorado, you think of buffaloes and mountains. But you can go 15 minutes off campus and there is a big city like I am back home. The whole environment at Colorado is something I like.”
