Fiancée of Travis Hunter gives him creative Valentine's Day gift using one of his plays

Leanna Lenee, the fiancée of Travis Hunter, went all out to surprise the Colorado football star with an early Valentine’s Day gift. In a video posted to Tik Tok, she films Hunter opening the gift, which is a 3D model of one of his top plays from the 2023 season.

As Hunter opens the box and begins to unwrap the bubble wrap, he gets a glimpse of what’s inside and immediately lights up. He pulls out a glass case to reveal an action figure of himself making an interception in the Buffaloes’ opening game of the season against TCU.

“Oh that’s tough,” Hunter said as he first saw the gift. “That’s me? That’s cold. Does that look like me?”

That wasn’t where the gift ended, however. Lenee also revealed to Hunter that if he scanned the barcode on the model with his phone, it would pull up the very play that it was based on.

That play happened to occur in the third quarter of Colorado’s season-opening win against the Horned Frogs. Hunter leaped in front of TCU receiver Major Everhart to snag the ball out of the air right in front of the end zone. Hunter, who played on both sides of the ball, finished with game with 11 catches for 119 yards receiving in addition to the interception.

Hunter finished the season with 57 catches for 721 yards and five touchdowns. He also had three interceptions and five passes defended to go along with 30 tackles. Colorado started the season 3-0 but ultimately finished only 4-8.

Travis Hunter and the Buffaloes will aim to improve on that next season, but he’ll always have that one play to remember thanks to his fiancée.

Hunter and Lenee got engaged earlier this month

Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter is having a great offseason for himself. Most importantly, that includes his recent engagement.

Leanna Lenee and Travis Hunter have been dating since he was in high school when the two met when he was a senior at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia. In 2022, she graduated from Kennesaw State University.

Hunter announced the engagement on Instagram.

Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee started their own YouTube channel in 2022, with the first post coming in October of that year. There, the couple shared information about their relationship and their individual lives. That first episode included the couple making Halloween costumes.

Even at that time, the couple was speaking about the possibility that they’d get married one day. Now, that day has come.

In her own post announcing the engagement, Lenee wrote, “a million times, yes.”
