Former Campbell wide receiver Sincere Brown committed to Colorado out of the transfer portal. It was made official with the Buffaloes and Brown announcing the move Sunday.

The 6-foot-5, 190-pounder entered the transfer portal March 18 and immediately picked up Power Four interest, per On3’s Pete Nakos. Brown has one year of eligibility remaining. He told On3 he would visit Cal and UCLA, with a trip on the books for Colorado’s spring game.

The first-team All-CAA selection played in 12 games for 3-9 Campbell team last season, leading the team in receptions (61), receiving yards (1,028) and touchdown catches (12). Brown is primarily an outside wide receiver who has both contested catch ability and can rack up yards after the catch.

He hauled in 8 contested catches on 21 attempts, per PFF, while averaging 8.6 yards after the catch per reception. Brown averaged 16.9 yards per reception and 85.7 per game

Landing a handful of receivers in the portal is a need for Colorado this spring. The Buffaloes are also losing four NFL-bound receivers: Jimmy Horn Jr., LaJohntay Wester, Will Sheppard and Travis Hunter.

As a member of the Class of 2020, Brown was a three-star recruit out of Charleston (S.C.) First Baptist Church School, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 56 overall prospect in the state, the No. 347 wide receiver prospect in the class and the No. 2,342 overall prospect in the class.
