Kam Mikell's excited about getting back to Colorado for his official visit
Kam Mikell took an unofficial visit to Colorado earlier this year and he saw enough then to put the Buffaloes on his radar. He left that visit knowing he would return, and now, one week after Deion Sanders and Colorado pulled off a surprising 45-42 win on the road at TCU, Mikell is set to be back in Boulder.
This time for an official visit. And just because schools like Georgia, Tennessee and Texas A&M are in pursuit, don’t doubt Mikell’s interest in Colorado.
“I watched the [TCU] game and they shocked the world,” Mikell told On3. “That is what I love about the win. People have been doubting them. They are that underdog team and that’s kind of who I am. I don’t really care about the glamour of winning championships because if you feel like you change a program and make a difference somewhere, then you go do that.”
Mikell will be on campus with Amontrae Bradford, a teammate of his, who will be on his official visit too. They can’t wait to see “live action” in Boulder when Colorado hosts Nebraska.
Mikell believes in Coach Prime
The No. 129 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings is ranked as a four-star cornerback. Multiple schools like the star in Statesboro (Ga.) on the offensive side of the ball. He watched Travis Hunter play 129 snaps Saturday and finished with an interception on defense and over 100 yards receiving on offense.

All Mikell could say about Hunter is, “He is him!.”
Colorado is recruiting Mikell to play both sides of the ball and the Buffaloes are a strong contender.
“Colorado is in my top six and they will always be up there for me. They have been recruiting me for a long time now. I talk to a lot of the coaches there. They tell me everybody in the building wants me there. Coach Prime said what school going to let you play both sides. Who wouldn’t want to be coached by Coach Prime?
“He is changing the game. Coach Prime has been to two schools and Jackson State has won two championships. Now he moved to Colorado and he won the first game there, so I will think he is changing the program around big-time there too.”
