Shedeur Sanders acknowledges the value Colorado takes in past two games
In the last two games, quarterback Shedeur Sanders led the Colorado Buffaloes into games against two of the top teams in the Pac-12, Oregon and USC. Both of those ended up being losses, even after a frantic comeback attempt against the Trojans.
Following those losses, Sanders said that there is a lot to be learned from every game, including the losses.
“I feel like every game is valuable,” Shedeur Sanders said. “I don’t think it’s this team or that team or whether it’s in the top 10, ranked or unranked, I feel like every game is valuable and having another experience and going to battle with guys, with your teammates it’s extremely — you need that to happen.”

“So, it was cool. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed all the weeks thus far and we’re just ready to lock in and be very explosive.”
In the blowout loss to Oregon, Shedeur Sanders threw for 159 yards and a touchdown. He was also sacked seven times. The USC game went much better, especially in the second half. In that game, Sanders threw for 371 yards and four touchdowns.
Amid the adversity of these last two losses, Shedeur Sanders’ father and head coach Deion Sanders praised how he’s handled himself.
“He’s very mature for his age. He’s very confident for his age, doesn’t flinch, doesn’t get flustered. He’s the most psyched quarterback in college football, and you could tell by how he carries himself. He’s just a kid that we all knew, and a multitude of our fans know, that if we would have got that ball last, we were going to go down and score. We knew that; He know that, everybody in here knows that. His teammates knew that,” Deion Sanders said.

“And that’s just what he brings to the table. He’s unflappable and very wise and understanding of the ‘whys’ and ‘becauses’ in what he sees out there on the field. He thinks a multitude of things through. But he’s a dynamic athlete and a dynamic young man.”
NFL Draft experts ‘blown away’ by Shedeur Sanders
Through five games this season, NFL Draft experts have been blown away by Shedeur Sanders. On the First Draft podcast, analyst Jordan Reid shared what he’s seen from Sanders.
“I’ve been blown away by Shedeur Sanders. I’ve really enjoyed diving into his film. As a former quarterback, I love seeing guys who are super accurate and I think he has the best accuracy of any quarterback in this class. He has a plan all the time, he understands how to attack coverage, but the thing that I like the most about Shedeur is he embraces the spotlight,” Reid said.
“A lot of times being Deion Sanders‘ kid, being in the spotlight, all eyes are on you. The whole nation watches you, and he loves it. He thrives off of that… Everybody knows they’re not good up front but he battles through that every single week. I think he’s taken over 20 sacks this year. That’s partly his fault. I think he needs to get rid of the ball a little bit quicker than he’s doing.”
