Tom Brady and Shedeur Sanders exchanged quarterback knowledge, tips and tidbits and that came to public light recently. Now, Brady got his chance to tell Shedeur how awesome it was to watch him over the first three games of the season.

Deion Sanders and Shedeur joined Brady on Let’s Go!, his podcast on Sirius XM, following Colorado’s wild win over Colorado State. There’s more to do, but Brady was impressed through three weeks.

Although Brady told Shedeur Sanders to “stay humble.”

“Well I think naturally, you know, he’s very proactive,” Brady said. “You know, we had a conversation and then phone calls and then text messages and then you know, him making the commitment to say, ‘All right, hey, this is what I want to do. I’m really serious about it,’ because a lot of it is you know, you want to see what their intention is.

“Because when you see someone that’s really open to learning and wants to, you know, has this thirst for knowledge you want to be able to support that. And I think Shedeur has just done amazing things.”

That’s when Brady saw Sheduer Sanders pop on screen to join the show.

“Listen, stay humble over there young man,” Brady said with a laugh. “I know I’m saying a lot of nice things about you. You shouldn’t be hearing all this, I’d rather be telling your dad this and just tell you to get back to work.

“But, you know, it’s just great to watch and just to see, you know, this youthful spirit and this program that has been really turned around in a short period of time because of great leadership. It’s always about the people and caring about one another, caring about what you’re trying to accomplish. And, you know, Deion and Shedeur are great leaders for that team.”

Shedeur Sanders was asked what the coaching was like from his father Deion compared to the advice from Brady.

“You know, hearing it from dad, I always heard it my whole life,” Shedeur Sanders said. “I kind of understand what he’s saying now, or during that time I would say but, of course whenever I talked to Tom then it’s just different. Because he’s actually been back there taking snaps. My dad had never been at quarterback.”

Then Deion had a nice response.

“I was there in high school son,” Deion Sanders said. “Don’t minimize it.”

After a laugh, Shedeur turned to Brady.

“So (Tom) understands like, just basically what you go through and just different personalities,” Shedeur Sanders said. “Like you know your players and like what it takes to win.”

Brady was encouraged by Shedeur Sanders and couldn’t wait to see what was next.

“He’s still a young man, he’s still got so much opportunity to grow as long as he stays really continuing the pursuit of learning,” Brady said. “This game and sports are never, you’re never a finished product.

“From the moment you start playing to the end you’re never a finished product. There’s always something you can improve physically, mentally, emotionally to be your best. So that’s what we’re all trying to do. And I love seeing, you know, a younger version of that to who’s very, very inspiring to a lot of people right now.”
