Travis Hunter adds to record-setting season, hits Heisman pose again on 11th touchdown
Travis Hunter continues to build the case for himself as the best player in the country with another big game this week against Kansas. The Colorado star came away with his second touchdown catch of the afternoon in the third quarter, juking out a pair of defenders to find the end zone.
Hunter then broke out the Heisman pose to let the world know how he feels about his chances of winning the prestigious award. You can view the moment below.
The score from Hunter cut the Kansas lead to 23-21 after the extra point attempt was good. He had six catches for 115 yards and the two TDs after the score.
Unfortunately, that would end up being the last time Colorado scored all game as the Jayhawks went on to pull off a 37-21 upset. The Buffaloes now finds themselves in a four-way tie for first place in the Big 12 with one week remaining in the regular season.
In spite of the results from the game, Hunter’s numbers this season still speak for themselves. He surpassed the 1,000-yard mark with his performance Saturday and also scored his 11th touchdown.
That’s not even taking into account what he brings to the team defensively. Also playing cornerback, he entered Saturday with 24 tackles, three interceptions, eight passes defended and one forced fumble.

Shilo Sanders firm on Travis Hunter winning Heisman Trophy: ‘Who else would be the Heisman?’
The Heisman Trophy race is continuing into the final weeks of the season. With that, there are a handful of players separating from the competition, including Colorado Buffaloes‘ two-way star Travis Hunter.
Certainly, Hunter has the backing from his teammates at Colorado. That includes Shilo Sanders, who doesn’t know who else would even potentially win the prestigious award.
“Nobody really does that [discredit his campaign], honestly,” Shilo Sanders said. “Like, I’ve never heard anybody until you just said it. Travis is the guy. Who else would be the Heisman?”
“(Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty)’s good but whenever you watch Colorado and especially if you come to a game you understand,” Sanders said. “You watch on TV, it’s like you’re watching Travis the whole game. Am I lying? I don’t really hear a lot of people say bad stuff about Travis. You know, you watch him the whole game.”
