Travis Hunter is arguably the best player for Colorado and he might’ve proven why with an impressive interception in the third quarter.

He prevented a TCU touchdown near the goal line. The Horned Frogs drove about 95 yards before the drive stalled with the turnover.

Watch below to see Hunter’s insane grab.

In addition to the interception, Hunter had eight catches for 53 yards midway through the third quarter and Colorado led 24-21.

With that stat line, Hunter was the first player in the last 20 seasons to record a pick and at least eight catches in a single game, per ESPN Stats and Info.

If Hunter was impressive on the field to you, it should be no surprise. Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin predicted the “dog” would come out in Hunter against TCU.

The NFL legend visited the Buffaloes and Deion Sanders throughout the summer, where he had a front-row seat to watch the two-way star in Hunter cultivate his craft. Ahead of Hunter’s Colorado debut under Sanders’ tutelage, Irvin stopped by Big Noon Kickoff to lay down some interesting information regarding the athlete who doubles as a defensive back and wide receiver.

“Dude, listen,” Irvin said. “Y’all know that boy he’s got playing both ways. That young Deion Sanders. He wanted to challenge everybody. I said, ‘Young dude, you ain’t ready for this smoke I’ll bring.’ He said, ‘I’ll get you Michael, I’ll get you.’ Because you’ve always got to try it. You’ve got to see if they got that dog in them. If they ready to fight.

“It’s going to be interesting to see. Deion talked about how this game is going to unveil. Watching TCU and their quarterback, how he likes to throw into the boundary. He’s going to put that dog over there. Make him throw a little deeper. I better not give up anymore secrets, I better not give up anymore secrets.”

Hunter and the defense eventually gave up a touchdown on TCU’s ensuing drive following a punt from the offense and trailed 28-24 with 2:32 left in the third quarter.
