Travis Hunter is one of the two betting favorites to win the Heisman Trophy, sharing the honor with Miami quarterback Cam Ward. The Colorado superstar has been vocal about his desire to win college football’s most prestigious award throughout the season. It’s hard to deny how special of a year Hunter is having, excelling at both cornerback and wide receiver.

In a world where Hunter is hoisting up the trophy in New York City, Shedeur Sanders asked Hunter what he would do after being named the winner. Hunter says he would first pull out Sanders’ signature celebration, showing off his watch to the crowd.

“You know what I’m going to do bro? I’m going to wear a watch, just for you bro,” Hunter said. “First thing I’m definitely doing is wearing a watch. Just so I can hit it. I’m definitely going to wear a watch, just for you.”

From there, it would be time for Hunter to deliver his speech where a lot of thank yous would come. His main one would be his Colorado teammates, giving them credit for his great season. Not just Sanders but the entire Buffaloes roster.

Hunter also knows team success can be a huge part of winning the Heisman Trophy. That’s why, in his eyes, getting to the College Football Playoff will be huge for his campaign. Team success comes first and when it’s achieved, the individual honor becomes a real possibility.

“I got to shout out the team,” Hunter said. “Without the team, we couldn’t get this far and I can’t get no individual award without the team. So, that’s my main thing. If somebody asked me yesterday, ‘Would you rather go to the College Football Playoff or win the Heisman?’

“The first thing I said is ‘College Football Playoff because the Heisman going to come if we get to the College Football Playoff first.’ We got to get there first.”
