Travis Hunter played so many snaps in Colorado’s upset win over TCU that Deion Sanders said that they’d need to install a hot tub on their plane to help his body recover. United Airlines has got it handled, though, based on their latest tweet for Coach Prime.

United quote tweeted the clip of Sanders’ line in Fort Worth regarding Hunter’s snap count of over 100 on offense and defense. They did so with a photoshopped image of exactly that, a hot tub on one of their planes, in order to show their support of Hunter’s postgame needs as well as the victorious Buffaloes.

Hunter made college football take note of him this past week with what he did against the Horned Frogs.

As a wide receiver, he was one of Colorado’s leading pass catchers with 11 receptions for 119 yards. Then, on defense, he finished with three tackles, a pass deflection, and an interception while playing corner.

It’s no surprise, though, considering what Hunter was as a recruit and has been so far as a college player. He’s a former five-star from 2022 and was the No. 2 prospect overall as well as the No. 1 athlete in the class. He then got a feel for the sport and made some things happen at Jackson State before truly breaking out on a national stage this past weekend.

Hunter earned as much recovery as possible after putting on a two-way performance that was nearly unheard of inside of Amon G. Carter Stadium. Now, if Sanders wants to get that hot tub on board for one of his superstars, United might end up as Colorado’s exclusive airline for road trips.

ESPN debates whether Travis Hunter can sustain two-way dominance

One of the breakout stars from the first weekend of college football action was two-way player Travis Hunter from Colorado. He dazzled on both offense and defense in a 45-42 upset of No. 17 TCU.

Hunter played 129 snaps and was highly productive on both sides of the ball. But is it sustainable?

“It’s pretty apparent that they’re going to take this guy and he is a legit full-time starter both ways,” ESPN’s Rece Davis said.

How Colorado manages to do that will be interesting. Deion Sanders has already hinted at an abbreviated practice schedule for Hunter to ease his workload, with the two-way star playing so many snaps during games.

“I don’t want to be a buzzkill about it, but there’s a reason why this is like a once-a-generation thing: It’s really hard to do,” ESPN’s Pete Thamel said. “Desmond Howard this morning brought up a great point on our GameDay call on what his total mileage would have been if they had the sports track GPS stuff. I mean he had to run 16, 17 miles, I have no idea. And it’s not running, you’re sprinting on both sides of the ball.

“He has to be in elite, elite, elite, elite, elite shape.”
