4-star SF Isaiah Abraham sets official visit to UConn
Isaiah Abraham, a four-star small forward in the class of 2024, will take an official visit to UConn on June 12-14.
The 6-foot-7 junior prospect out of Fairfax (Va.) Paul VI Catholic ranks as the No. 57 overall player in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking, the average from all four major recruiting sites. On3’s evaluators are much higher on Abraham, ranking him 19th overall in the class.
It should also be noted that Abraham and fellow four-star 2024 prospect Patrick Ngongba are cousins. They will be visiting Storrs together.
Abraham talks recruitment
Isaiah Abraham has only taken one official visit thus far — Marquette. He discussed the Golden Eagles, as well as others involved in his recruitment in a previous interview with On3.
Marquette: “I like Coach (Shaka) Smart and Coach (DeAndre) Haynes. They both talk to me about how I fit into their program and how they can fit me into their system. I love their player development. That will be key in my recruiting. I hear their player development program is great, which will grow me as a player and completely maximize my potential.

Abraham has taken three unofficial visits — Maryland, Villanova, and Virginia.
Villanova: “I like how they play together and how they teach the game, you know, the jump stops, playing two feet, and all. I like their defensive execution and how they value the ball on offense. The atmosphere when I went was awesome. All the students and the fans were loud. It was a great experience. Coach (Kyle) Neptune is my main recruiter there.”
Maryland: “That visit was a few months ago, and to be honest, they haven’t been too involved since.”
Virginia: “I’ve been to UVa a few times; the last time was for the Duke game. It was a great game. I was impressed with the toughness they showed and the team’s ability to execute everything so well. Overall, I loved the electric atmosphere. My communication there is split between Coach (Tony) Bennett and Coach (Jason) Wiliford.”
Scouting Report
“Isaiah Abraham is an explosive wing. He has great measurables with long arms and good positional size. At his core, Abraham is a shot-maker. He has touch, range, and confidence from anywhere on the floor. He is going to have to shore up his footwork and balance, which will help with his shot selection and shot-making. Abraham is able to attack the rim in straight lines and finish well above the rim in transition. He can get to his spots off one and two dribble pull-ups. Abraham has the upside, both physically and athletically, to be a solid team defender; there is a toughness in there, and with his size. Is confident. Abraham’s father, Faisal Abraham, played at Marquette, and his aunt Tajama Abraham Ngongba played at George Washington.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
