Duke freshman Cooper Flagg continues to do some insane things on the basketball court during his first season with the Blue Devils, but Tuesday night he may have topped it all.

Flagg got the ball in the backcourt in a game against Pittsburgh, dribbled the length of the floor, then flushed home a thunderous one-handed dunk over a defender.

He brought just about every fan in the arena to their feet. Check it out below.

Cooper Flagg’s hype preceded him, but he’s one of the rare instances of a true freshman actually living up to the billing. He’s been absurdly good so far this year.

And he appears to only be getting better, something he spoke to recently.

“I think for me, my whole mindset this whole year, has just been trying to get better every single day,” Flagg said. “I think that as we’ve gotten more comfortable as a team, we’ve come together more. I think our offense has definitely sharpened up a lot, and that’s helped me as well. A lot of guys have stepped up through a lot of different games, so it’s just a team effort that having guys like Tyrese [Proctor] and Kon [Knueppel] on the court helps open everything up for me.”

Cooper Flagg is currently averaging 17.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. He can absolutely fill up the stat sheet.

And he does it in different ways in different games.

In a recent game against SMU he recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while also dishing out three assists. The assists might have been the most impressive part, too. The team as a whole had a terrific day sharing the basketball against the Mustangs.

“I think it speaks to our team,” Flagg said. “We have such a talented team, it’s a disservice to everybody on the team if we don’t share it and get the right looks.”

When you can take it the length of the floor and flush it home like Cooper Flagg, though, sometimes there’s just no need.
