Another season, another jersey number release. On Monday, Duke announced the jersey numbers for its incoming freshman class.

Shooting guard Jared McCain will wear No. 0. Point guard Caleb Foster will rep No. 1. Small forward TJ Power will boast No. 12. Finally, Sean Stewart will garnish No. 13. The numbers are new looks for every player except for Sean Steward, who also wore No. 13 at Montverde Academy.

Duke’s incoming recruiting class was the second-best in the nation, trailing only John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats. The group includes one five-star prospect in McCain and three four-star recruits. The class nearly has a cumulative $2 million NIL Valuation, according to On3.

While the entire group is fantastic, each player provides their own specific skillset. As stated previously, McCain likely boasts the heaviest toolbox. The 6-foot-3 athlete averaged 23 points as a junior for Centennial. Additionally, McCain boosted Team USA’s U18 national team to a gold medal at this summer’s FIBA U18 Americas Championship.

Although McCain is the highest-rated recruit in Duke’s Class of 2023, the others aren’t far behind. Steward was a high school standout, listed as the No. 2 player in the state of Florida. Everybody wanted a piece of the 6-foot-8 talent. Yet, Stewart chose Duke over schools such as Georgetown, Ohio State and Michigan.

Power is an equally exciting prospect. Standing at 6-foot-8, Power is a freak athlete. The Massachusetts native averaged 23.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game on 42% shooting during the Nike EYBL IV Session in Kansas City, earning offensive MVP honors.

Foster doesn’t trail far behind. The 6-foot-5 guard is known for his crafty ability to find buckets while never losing control. Foster transferred to Sherman Oaks in California after averaging 11.9 points on 53% from the field during his junior season at the acclaimed Oak Hill Academy.

All four freshmen won’t have to wait long to test their talents. The Blue Devils will open up their season with back-to-back contests against Arizona and Michigan State. Duke head coach Jon Scheyer hopes to lead his team to victory in his second season at the helm of the blue-blood program.
