Report: Duke targeting Texas A&M assistant Tyler Santucci as next defensive coordinator

Duke is reportedly targeting Texas A&M assistant Tyler Santucci as the team’s next defensive coordinator, according to Pete Thamel.
“Sources: Duke is targeting Texas A&M assistant Tyler Santucci to be the school’s next defensive coordinator,” Thamel wrote on Twitter. “He’d replace Robb Smith, who returned to his family’s home in MInnesota to be closer to them …
“Santucci is Texas A&M’s linebacker coach and co-defensive coordinator. He’s worked as a graduate assistant (Wake Forest) and analyst (Notre Dame and Texas A&M) under Elko.”
The Blue Devils have familiarity with Santucci based on his previous stops. This would be the latest move by head coach Mike Elko after a tremendous debut season with the Blue Devils.
