Jared McCain signs with Duke Blue Devils
On3 Consensus five-star recruit Jared McCain has made it official, signing his National Letter of Intent to Duke on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Corona (Calif.) Centennial committed to the Blue Devils back in March, beating out the likes of Gonzaga, Houston, Louisville, UCLA, and others.
Duke has a five-man class in 2023, highlighted by five-stars Caleb Foster, Sean Stewart, Mackenzie Mgbako, and four-star TJ Power.
McCain ranks as the No. 18 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.
About McCain
Jared McCain became a household name long before he arrived in college thanks to his large social media presence. McCain carefully crafted a strong brand with more than 1.7 million followers on TikTok before the start of his senior year of high school. He was also one of the early success stories with NIL, announcing deals with Lemon Perfect, and Champs Sports and even having his own pair of crocs. McCain averaged 23 points as a junior for Centennial. He also helped Team USA’s U18 national team bring home a gold medal at this summer’s FIBA U18 Americas Championship.
