A lot of emotions poured out of Cameron Indoor Stadium last night with it being the final game for Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski. Although they picked up a loss against in-state rival North Carolina, it was a special moment for both Coach K and all of his former players in attendance.

Former Blue Devil star and current ESPN college basketball Jay Williams took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to share what the moment meant to him. Of course, he had high praise for Krzyzewski and talked about what his former head coach meant to him as a person.

“Yesterday was one of the most special days of my life,” Williams said. “Coach K has been by my side since I was 16 years old and he is one of the reasons I am where I am today. Coach K will forever be a legend. #CoachK #DukeBasketball”

After the message, Williams attached a video, taking everyone through the entire ceremony. From the moment Krzyzewski walked onto the court, to all of the current and formal players taking the photo, and even Williams himself taking some selfies, it is a good all-access look at the moment.

Williams played at Duke for three seasons, winning the national championship during his sophomore year in 2001. The former guard averaged 19.3 points, six assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game throughout his career before being taken No. 2 overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2002 NBA Draft.

Three other NBA players played on the 2000-2001 national championship team with Williams under Coach K. Teammate Mike Dunleavy went No. 3 overall to the Golden State Warriors, while Carlos Boozer was selected in the second round. Shane Battier was a top 1 pick the year before, going No. 6 to the Memphis Grizzlies. Chris Duhon, who was a freshman on the title-winning squad, was drafted in the second round two seasons later.
